YouTube removes white nationalist Nick Fuentes’ show for hate speech violations

On Friday, YouTube removed white nationalist Nick Fuentes’ channel, which was used to spread hate speech to thousands of followers.

A message on the channel, America First, shows that the account was banned for multiple or severe violations of YouTube’s hate speech policy. This follows the tech company’s demonetization of the account in January and calls for YouTube to remove the show since last year.

In December, Big If True reported that dozens of podcasts, including America First, use YouTube and audio platforms to spread hate speech. Apple Podcasts and Luminary previously removed Fuentes’ show, which remains available on Spotify and iHeartRadio.

Fuentes has used his show to deny the Holocaust and sympathize with violence against Mexican immigrants, while successfully urging his followers to troll Republicans at speaking events and elsewhere in public. In December, America First had more than 70,000 subscribers on YouTube.
